Freedom

We started day 2 with improving on our mix of Reality from yesterday. Slightly less moog effects and slightly more phased bass. The swirling Leslie and tapedelay vocal sound still works. Very classic sounding to me.

Is your freedom really something worth fighting for, with bombs and drones in an otherwise meaningless war? While they sell you fashion, dope and dreams on tv and your stupid politicians try to tell you who’s your enemy?

We’re moving on to the title track Freedom, a song we have been playing live for the last year or so. It’s our punked up acidrock version of the Richie Havens song, mostly known for his performance on Woodstock. The song is actually much older though, in its essence a traditional gospel song thats been recorded by many artists under the title Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child.
